Surviving and Thriving in a Long-term Romantic Partnership

There are numerous cultural forces that work against creating a successful, long-term romantic partnerships (LTRP). These include false advertising from the media (e.g., the “happily ever after” myth), the for-profit cheating industry, the for-profit divorce industry, financial pressures, parenting pressures and an absence of training on how to accomplish wellness in a LTRP. No wonder the divorce rate hovers at around 50%, which doesn’t include those that stay together in misery. The break-up rate jumps ever higher when significant adversity taxes the relationship (e.g., neurodivergence, infertility, unemployment).

This 8-session group-based intervention is designed to help couples, of all sexual orientations and gender identities, to know what science-based and time-efficient strategies they can use to produce a healthy romantic relationship that can stand the test and stress of time.  Facilitated by Dr. David Palmiter.
