Middle school students often experience an increase in academic demands and expectations. Students with ADHD face these same demands, but may find themselves struggling more and more as they advance to higher grade levels. This group has been designed to help students and their parents learn specific and detailed information about our current understanding of ADHD and how it affects a child’s behavior. You will learn evidence-based techniques to provide the structure and guidance that children with ADHD need to succeed behaviorally, academically and socially. Facilitated by Dr. Craig Sidol.
Benefits You’ll Gain:
A 12-session program that will help your child build a healthy foundation of social skills. The story we often see is that a child is social early on, but as the social complexities of life occur, parents start to see their child struggle to make and keep friendships. Children may isolate, try “too hard” to make friends or lack initiative

Children may isolate, try “too hard” to make friends or lack initiative in starting conversations.
The 90-minute group has been adapted to include experiences that many children with ADHD, ASD, anxieties, and mood disturbances face by increasing their immediate social awareness and helping them practice new skills with roleplay exercises and peer feedback opportunities. The format includes weekly handouts to follow, roleplay exercises, open dialogue, and regular phone calls between participants to practice implementing the skills they learn. Facilitated by Dr. Robert Greenstone.
